God Has Never Been Obligated To Give us Life! Beautifully He Did!
God is the the one who created us, remember? He is the one who did give us life, and then we act like He owes us something? I think we as people, as Christians, need to stop being so selfish and realize God doesn’t owe us anything. He isn’t required to help us! The beautiful thing about God is that when He created us, instead of forcing us to serve Him, He gave us a choice to freely live however we want! An undeserved choice to say the least, but what glory does God gain if we are forced to worship Him. What does He gain if we are hatefully living for Him when we don’t want to! We have the choice ourselves. The beautiful part is that when we do serve Him we get great favor and rewards in life. He blesses us with many things. But still we get mad at Him when He doesn’t answer our prayer, instead of realizing that maybe it is just that God has a better plan than we can even think of! He has something else in mind. God has things for us that our minds can’t even comprehend until they actually happen! We need to learn patience! Timing is everything! I know life is hard, trust me, and having to wait doesn’t make it any easier. It is worth it though! God works out all things for the good of those who love Him! Romans 8:28. I just don’t see how we can get mad at Him! He died the worst painful death for us so we all wouldn’t have to! It should of been us hanging on that cross but He took our place! We didn’t deserve His grace at all! We deserve death, but because He loves us He gave us the choice! A beautiful exchange. Its our choice whether we trust in Him in hard times, Its our choice whether we get mad or not, Its our choice whether we follow Him or not. Life is our choice! How CAN we be mad?
God has never been obligated to give us life. - Lecrae.
Honduras day 2! Ants!
Today the word for me was ants! Not many people know how amazing ants are and how fascinating they can be. Today in Honduras we went to a school, we performed dramas in front of over a thousand people! There were only about 40 of us! We were pretty small compared to that many people! Ants are very small, but they can lift 20 times their body weight! That takes a lot of strength! The determination they have to protect there turf and provide food for themselves. They have such a boldness to take on a giant spider walking on their ground! And together they take it down! This was us today! Protecting the name of Jesus and providing these people with a new revelation of Christianity! Provide Gods holy power and healing! We went out and our strength and courage in Christ was like totally beast mode! We took on the challenges that we and the people were facing and through God we had success! Are determination and passion to save these people from the demons of this world is great! Giant spiders are no match! We had most of the kids out of the thousand come down so we can pray for them! For the rest, the seed was sown.
Fire Flies! Day 1 in Honduras!
My theme for tonight is fireflies. As me and my team are driving on a bus through Honduras for several hours, it starts to get dark. I’m looking out the window at the scenery around me and I start to notice these fireflies! I start to think to myself how amazing these insects are! How they work, its just so cool! Each and everyone of us people on this trip are like an individual firefly! We are all so wonderfully and uniquley made! The best part is that we carry a light! Its called the, “Kingdom Light”! Its Heavens light! Its Jesus! He’s living inside us, glowing everywhere we go! The Kindom of Heaven follows us everywhere! But like fire flies, it is hard to be affective on your own! Its possible but hard and that why we have unity! So we are all coming together to bring light to this nation of Honduras! A light that is so powerful lives will be changed! We are coming with a fire that burns with love for these people! And it is all because of Jesus! With out that light, fire flies are just flies! With out Jesus we are just dry bones!
Tattoos defined: Lack of knowledge, not sin!
So the typical verse that is used against tattoos is in Leviticus! Its says in Leviticus 19:28 “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on your body. I am the Lord”. If you come and read this out of context to me because I have tattoos, then its like, “oh crap I screwed up”. But if you read this verse in context its a little bit different! If you come to me and read this verse I really hope you have lived up to the other high expectations surrounding this scripture verse.
For example: Leviticus 19:23 “When you come into the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, regard its fruit as forbidden. For three years it will be consider forbidden, it must not be eaten.” In this verse, and in further verses, it’s basically saying don’t eat the fruit of the tree until the tree is 5 years old! It is forbidden! How many of you have lived up to that? You don’t even know because when you buy fruit at your local grocery store how are you suppose to know if the fruit your buying is from a tree over 4 years old. Case closed. In Leviticus 19:26 it says not to eat any meat with the blood still in it! Um any one ever had there steak cooked medium rare? Oh shucks well you broke that rule too. Every meat that we eat in today’s society has some sort of dry or even totally normal blood if you like you steak cooked rare! In Leviticus 19 through out this whole chapter it says things like, “Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head and do not trim your beard” and “do not wear clothing woven of two different kinds of material”. Now if you are going to come to me with Leviticus 19:28! I hope YOU are living up to all the the other expectations that surround that verse! The truth is, if you study the whole context of this chapter and its history, you will find out that in this chapter God is speaking to the Israelites and teaching THEM how to live at that POINT AND TIME! God was giving them laws and rules to go by at that specific time. God gave the Israelites these rules for wisdom purposes. They didn’t have refrigerators and pesticides to help them like we have to help us. These rules don’t apply to us now. They are only in the Bible to show us the history of the Israelites and learn about them. It is old testament, Simple as that. Specifically, though, in Leviticus 19:28 people will say that the verse says not to mark you body. Well you have earrings so that rule means nothing to you. But actually in context the verse says, don’t cut or tattoo your bodies for the dead! Now understand that in pagan religion and worship they would cut their bodies and literally tattoo themselves as an act of worship to the dead. In this specific verse God is telling the Israelites not to do that! He wants them to worship Him.
Now some people will come and bring some of the verses in 1 Corinthians chapter 6, where it says that our body is a temple of the Holy spirit and to keep it clean and pure! This scripture is great and I agree totally with it when it is read in context. When you read this verse in context you will get that this whole chapter is talking about sexual immorality! God is telling us to stay pure and flee from sex before marriage and adultery! It has nothing to do with tattoos!
Last but not least, in Revelation 19:16 it says that when Jesus comes back, written on His thigh it will say, “King of kings and Lord of lords”. There is nothing there that says it will be written in marker or pencil, so maybe Jesus will even have a tattoo? That may be a little bit of a stretch, but if you are gonna come to me with the verses in Leviticus or 1 Corinthians and stretch those (which is ten times worse) then what is this little stretch gonna hurt?
My personal tattoos are very important to me and have sentimental and purposeful meaning to them! The one on my wrist says, “when life is in discord, Praise ye the Lord”. This is a line in a song to one of my favorite bands! This helps me when ever I am struggling in life! I can hold up my arm, read it, and it reminds me that even though I may be suffering, God is always there for me and He will help me learn and grow from what I am going through! The one on my back, I just got. It is a white dove, facing forward with a cross engraved in it! This dove is so divine and important to me because God gave me a vision of this Dove while I was on my first missions trip in Ecuador. I was struggling with something there and God gave me the vision of the Dove which represented Jesus, and the words that came to my mind were, “I AM WITH YOU!”. This meant so much to me! And means so much to me now! This is my act of worship towards God to remind me the I can worship God through my suffering because I know that he works out all things for the good of those who love Him. And I can now be reminded that He will always be with me!!
My thing with tattoos is, if you’re gonna get one, get one that has meaning! Don’t get one just to get one! That’s just stupid!
A lot of what I said was inspired by this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN3voADV14Y
The Heart, Mind, and Soul Defined:Belief System, Spirits, How They All Work!
In everything we do, we need to look at our hearts! What’s inside our hearts is the true aspect of what we stand for as individuals! Our heart is what God looks at! Our mind and heart are very similar but also very different! Our mind can sometimes confuse our heart and put little white lies inside of it, especially when it comes to things like love! Your heart holds your integrity level, your honor level, your respect level! Your mind just finds reasons why to increase or decrease those different values inside your heart! And your heart is the one that makes the decision to increase or decrease them. Your heart is where Jesus goes when you ask Him! Your heart is what Jesus whispers into! The Devil, he can’t touch your heart when Jesus has it! He can speak into your mind and lie to you though and then your mind will lie to your heart, but again that’s when your heart chooses what to do. That’s when you choose what to do! Now don’t get me wrong, the mind is a beautiful thing! Our mind does all the thinking for our heart, and obviously we can get confused sometimes but our mind is amazing! All the discoveries and inventions we as humans have come up with came with the help of our mind! Things like vehicles, the structure of houses, the discovery of the United States! These are all things that the mind figured out through certain individuals! God actually implants different inventions and ideas in people minds. God gave certain people the ability to figure these things out in their mind! Whether they were saved or not God created them and put it in them! The only thing is that in our hearts we hold motivation! High or low, it is our free will as human beings to try to figure these things out! That free will is what God gave us! Your attitude towards different things comes from your heart! The heart is either lazy or energized! A liar or honorable! Faithful or unreliable! What does your heart say about you? Are you caring or selfish? Are you brave or fearful? The things we carry inside our heart determine the actions on which we take to handle certain situations in life. If you do things that you don’t want to do with a bad attitude, you most likely aren’t doing it the correct way and that’s not honorable! If you don’t have the honor and integrity in your heart to deal with the little things correctly in life, then why should you be trusted with the big things? Your heart says everything about you. Search your heart and keep it healthy! If you have a bad attitude about everything, that negative energy will get you know where in life! When your heart has positive things inside it, it will take you far! Don’t let your mind lie to your heart. Your mind might say that you are in love with someone, but in reality God has someone better planned for you and your heart just doesn’t know it yet! Our mind might also tell us that pornography is a good thing and we know in our heart that it isn’t but our mind tells us to do it anyways! You see God knows that in our heart we don’t want to do it but our mind makes us struggle with it. If you truly believe in and love Jesus, and you truly understand His love for you, then any sin you have will be a struggle and not a voluntary thing! That’s why Jesus forgives because He knows we struggle! We aren’t perfect, but God looks at our heart to see whether we truly are struggling with sin or whether we just do whatever we want know matter if its wrong or right! The heart also holds our beliefs too! God knows whether we truly believe in his son and whether we are really sorry for the sins we’ve committed. Your soul is very similar to your heart. You see the heart is located, well, in the heart. The mind is located in our brain! The soul doesn’t have a body part connected to it. It is sort of in between. Our soul also hold our passions and compassions but it also holds the spiritual side of us!! Everyone has a spirit whether you are a Christian or not! There are many different spirits. There’s The Holy Spirit, there’s evil spirits, there’s a good spirit, there’s a religious spirit, ect……. The spirit inside your soul really decides how you deal with things in life, and like your heart, it holds what you believe in! Your belief system is very important! If you believe you can’t do something, well then most likely you won’t be able to do it! If you truly believe in your heart and soul you can do something, and you do it with the help of Christ, I garuntee you can do it! No matter how many times you fail! If you keep believing you will accomplish it! Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times when trying to create a light bulb. This is what he said after he accomplished his goal. He said, “I did not fail. I just found 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb.” This is the mindset we need to have in our beliefs. Your beliefs can take you far if they are the correct ones! If you believe in Christ, that will take you into eternal life! (John 3:16) That is pretty far if you ask me! Act on your beliefs because in the end belief is an action! If you Don’t act and live your life around your beliefs, then do you really believe your own beliefs? When you have beliefs, you live by them! Your life is revolved around them. Other wise you would be going against your own beliefs. When I say that belief is an action, it all comes down to what’s in your heart! When you believe in Christ, your heart will want to pray to Him, you’ll want to worship and read your bible, you will want to follow His word! But sometimes life circumstances causes us to no follow along with these desires, but remember there is no condemnation in that! So I don’t want anyone to think I’m saying that you have to do all these things to be saved! It says in the Bible that we are saved by the grace of God, not our righteous acts! God truly knows our heart and that is what is will all come down to! The spirit you have says a lot about your beliefs. When you are a Christian, you have The Holy Spirit inside your soul, when you have The Holy Spirit inside your soul, your soul is actually in your heart! A good spirit just means that you are generally a good person and you have compassion for things! Doesn’t necessarily mean you are a Christian! Again, it is not by our righteousness in which we are saved, it is by receiving the free gift of God’s grace! Any other spirit is straight from satan! The spirit inside your soul creates the compassions and passions you have in you heart. Whether you have compassion or whether your passions are good-willed or bad-willed determines what kind of spirit you have! It is also very possible to have more then one spirit! Ever heard of the story of Jackyll and Hyde? Its kind of like your conscience! It also speaks into your mind, unless its The Holy Spirit which goes directly to your heart! The Heart, the mind, and the soul are all powerful things and we need to be careful how we use them! We aren’t just hurting ourselves when we don’t use them in the proper manner, but we also hurt the people around us. This is the main reason God why wants us to control our actions! He doesn’t want us to keep hurting ourselves and the people around us! He loves us that much! So use these three gifts from God for the good! Use them to help you get further in life! Psalm 97:11 Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Matthew 16:26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Matthew 22:11 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 8:5-6 5 For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the [Holy] Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit. 6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
Smith Wigglesworth: Great Man of God!
Smith Wigglesworth was born in the small town of Menston, Yorkshire in England on June 8th, 1859. Smith didn’t grow up in a Christian home but His grandmother was Christian and made sure he attended church. When he turned 8 he began singing with the church at one of the meetings and it was then where he got a new revelation of being born again! When this happened he started operating as an evangelist! His first convert was his own mother! When his father realized what was going on he decided to take his family to church every Sunday even though he wasn’t saved himself. When Smith turned 13 his family moved from Menston to Bradford, where he and his family would attend Wesleyan Methodist Church. Smith was very involved in this church and continually attended it when ever there was a service or meeting. Smith couldn’t read but he always made it a habit to keep a copy if the new testament with him. At 17 he met a really Godly man who taught him about water baptism and the second coming of Christ Then Smith was baptized and he got really excited to tell so many people about Jesus before He came back. This Godly man also taught Smith how to work in the plumbing business. Then when he turn 18 he decided to head out on his own. He went to the house of a plumber and said “I’m looking for a plumbing job, can u hire me?” The man looked at him and said,”I’m not hiring right now.” Immediately Smith Thanked him and apologized for taking the mans time and started to walk away. As he was leaving the man said,” Stop! There is something different about you and I need to hire you!” By the time Smith turned 20 he was working so hard and efficiently that, the man who hired him couldn’t occupy him anymore, So Smith moved to Liverpool to look for a new job. In Liverpool he began to preach the gospel to ragged children on the streets! He did his best to feed and clothe them and give them hope! He visited hospitals and prayed with all different types of people. He prayed to God to help him lead more people to Christ. Salvation Army asked him to teach at there meetings! He was never really good with his words at these meetings because he would always break down and mourn for the hearts of broken people! He just wanted to help more and more people! This caused these meeting to be powerful because people were motivated by his compassion for others! During these meetings Smith tended to keep his eye on one socially fluent woman. He knew right away that she was the one for him. As Smith kept attending these meetings he started to build a relationship with her. Their relationship began get stronger. Her name was Mary Jane Featherstone, but everyone called her “Polly”. She received a commission as an officer for Salvation Army but as her and Smiths relationship got stronger she would soon have to make a difficult decision! Even though Smith wasn’t officially joined with Salvation Army, they still considered him a private in there ranks. Officers weren’t allowed to have romantic relationships with lower ranks such as a private so Polly had to choose her Smith or Salvation Army! She resigned as an officer at Salvation Army and chose to continue her relationship with Smith. Soon after she joined Blue Ribbon Army and there she led many to the Lord! Smith and Polly got married back in Bradford in 1882. Smith was just turning 23 and Polly was 22. They would later go on to have 5 kids: Alice, Seth, Harold, Ernest, and George. Polly and Smith started their own ministry called the Bradford Street Mission where they gather people together and would show people who Jesus is. Polly was a better speaker then Smith so she would do the speaking, while Smith did the gathering! His job was to locate the fish and she would put down the net! One cold winter of 1884 the plumbing business started to speed up rapidly. Smith began to do a lot more with the plumbing business then he was able to do with ministry. This went on for two years and as he began to get busier and busier, he began to backslide from his relationship with God. Then one day Polly, still faithful to her savior, came home late from church one day. Smith got mad and said,” I am the master of this house and you will not come home this late ever!” Polly quietly replied,” I know you are my husband but Christ is my master.” Smith got even more mad and forced her out the back door and locked it! In all this annoyance, Smith forgot to lock the front . Polly simply walked through the front door laughing. At that point Smith realized how ridiculous he was being and started laughing too! This brought to him a new revelation. Right after he decided to take ten days to fast and pray! One day Smith decided to go to a healing meeting out of town! He was so amazed by what he saw there! He saw a new power from God that he never had seen before! He was so excited that he went home, told his wife and together the made a new ministry of their own! A healing ministry! Polly and Smith became so passionate for preaching about this divine message of healing. Smith himself got healed of a hemorrhoid he had dealt with his whole life! It was gone and he never struggled with it again! Their ministry slogan was the scripture,”I am the Lord that healeth thee” Smiths relationship with God was going great and he wanted more! He wanted more of the spirit! He wanted to speak in tongues! In 1907, Pentecost had reached Sunderlands and Smith heard that people were being baptized in the holy spirit and speaking in tongues. When he arrived to Sunderlands he went to one of the meetings which was taught by an old friend named Vicar Alexander Boddy. At the meeting Smith began to get frustrated The meeting was so dry, compared to what he had experienced at home. He finally got mad and disrupted the meeting asking , “how do I learn to speak in tongues and why is this service so dry?” He was so disruptive he was taken out side to be disciplined. Still in Sunderland, before he went back home he decided to go to Mr. Boddy’s house to say,”goodbye” but he was not home, instead his wife was. He told her,”I guess I’ll be leaving with out speaking in tongues.” “It is not tongues in which you need it is baptism of the holy spirit”, she responded. Then he asked her to pray over him! She pray a simple, but strong prayer and instantly he started speaking in tongues and praising God. Again Smith grew more and more excited! He shared this story at meetings in the ministry he created with Polly! Polly was so surprised, she had never seen him speak so clear and great! He was being led by the spirit! Everyone wanted what he had received there. Polly and Smith’s ministry continued to grow in the spirit and healing realm, and there passion did too! Smith wanted to help everyone he could and did almost anything he could to do so! We would take trains to different towns and ride his bike 10 miles just to help one person! His plumbing business began to fade, he didn’t have time for it anymore. He vowed that the rest of his life would be devoted to ministry unless God told him otherwise. The Lord made sure he never went back to the plumbing business again! The ministry grew so big that he began to get invited to speaking engagements all around the country, and then all around the world! Then one day while waiting for a train in Scotland he received news the his wife had fallen and collapsed of a heart attack while ministering back in their hometown! He rushed home immediately but by the time he got the the hospital he realized that she had passed. “Arise, I command the spirit of death out of you in Jesus’s name!” He said. Right then she woke up! When she awoke she told him,” The Lord has called me home.” In a heartbroken response he said,” If the Lord has called you, I will not hold you.” When they buried her body, Smith laid over her gravestone wanting to die too. Then the lord spoke to him,” Your time here is not up yet, I have more in-store for you” Smith prayed,”God is you want me to keep going on, give me a double portion of spirit-my wifes and my own.” And God answered his prayer! Smith continued on and he could feel his wife’s spirit with him! Alice, Smiths daughter, and her husband began to travel with Smith and joined his ministry! Still the ministry began to grow and with the double spirit Smith had, he saw great and amazing things! He saw blind people could see, deaf people could hear, people in wheel chairs started to walk, and cancer was destroyed all in different individuals he prayed over! One amazing story while he was attending a funeral at someones house, the coffin was in a room with 3 normal walls and one glass wall with two glass doors on it! While everyone was outside the room, Smith walked in! With everyone watching him he pulled the man out of the coffin, put the man up against the wall and said loudly,”In Jesus’s name walk!” The man slid down the wall and fell on the ground. Quickly Smith picked up the dead man and put him up against the wall and yelled,” I said wake up in Jesus’s name!” Again the man slid down the wall and fell. By this point the people outside were appalled by the sight if this! Finally Smith grabbed the body violently, threw it up against the wall, screamed,” I SAID WAKE UP NOW IN JESUS’S NAME!” Right then the man woke up and the two walked out the door together! It was said that a confirmed 14 people were raised from the dead in Smith Wigglesworth’s ministry. He helped thousands get saved and healed, and he impacted a whole continent! Today his life impacts the world! Smith passed away on March 14, 1947. He was attending fellow minister’s, Wilf Richardson’s, funeral! He walked over to the casket, bowed over the body and he new then his time was up too! There at 87 years young, he went to be with the Lord.
If I Were To Vote………
I know I’m not old enough yet and I only miss that age limit to vote by three months but here what I think! The main reason on what we need to base our vote on is, “Which president will support Israel”. Israel holds Gods chosen people! God wants us as human being to support them! America in the past few years haven’t been supporting them! They’ve actually been abandoned! And God didn’t like that. I can tell you this with a fully positive mind that hurricane Katrina happened as a consequence to America demanding Israel to give up their land for peace. Events like 9/11, Hurricane Irene, Hurricane Rita! Many different tornadoes and earth quakes that have happened to the U.S. follow along very shortly after a high governmental authority goes against Israel! Hurricane Katrina happened within 24 hours of Bush and the U.S. forced thousands and thousands of Jews out if their homes in Israel! In July of 2000, Bill Clinton had a meeting with the two prime ministers of Israel! Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat were pressured by Clinton to trade away the heart land of Israel! He also pressured both ministers to split Israel into two half’s and divide it between the two of them! That very day fires broke out across western United States! 500,000 acres of land burned within one month! If you look back at all these disaster and events I bet that you can match 90% of them to a time when someone of great authority went against Israel! And I am willing to bet that Hurricane Sandy took place for that reason! Now listen closely, I’m not saying that God sent all these disasters and that He made all these things happen! God has His hand over America, but when we rebel against His authority and sin, we don’t have His full protection! God has to lift His hand. When you try to handle things without God’s guidance, He is a gentleman and steps back! He gave us free choice, we as people make our own decisions. When we try life our own way and it leads to sin, it opens up doors for the devil! Just like when we commit other sins like lust, lying, stealing, these all open doors for Satan to attack us! It opens up these spiritual forces of evil! This is what happens when we go against Israel, and the consequence is strong! America needs to support Israel, but Obama isn’t doing that! Romney says that He does support Israel! So if I were to vote, Romney is the obvious pick! Nothing else really matters to me!
We need to look at what’s going on now! The economy sucks right now! Jobs opportunities are dropping! Businesses are failing! Gas prices are going up! No president is going to change that in 4 years! This whole process of fixing the economy could take from 3-20 years! It’s not an easy task! What we as Americans need to do is look past the bad economy and stop using that as an excuse on why we can’t be successful in life! That is what people keep doing! We need to stop! We can look past it all! I believe that you can do anything if you put your mind to it! Especially with God’s guidance, anything is possible! You may fall once or twice, but if you keep moving you can accomplish many things! You as a person create your own life! You have the choice of what you want to do in YOUR life and whether you go after it or not! The president isn’t going to save you! You have to choose to keep moving on with life no matter what goes down! Don’t tell me that Jobs aren’t hiring you and that there is no point for looking! I searched for a job for 2 and a half years and then finally got 2 jobs with in four months! You just have to keep trying! Stop using the economy as an excuse! - Written by Kyler Kippin.
Second paragraph inspired by Phyllis.
So a good friend asked me a 8 questions about Christianity and my relationship with God and this is how I answered them.
1. How do you know your with God? How do you know when your not?
2. What does it mean to have a relationship with Jesus Christ?
3. Why do you think, in general, teenagers (ages 12:18) are not interested in, critical, or not wanting God?
4. Does your relationship with others affect your relationship with Christ?
5. The bible clearly instructs to love one another as brothers and sisters. What does this mean to you?
6. In a situation, where you are pursuing a relationship beyond brother an sisterhood in Christ, how is this different from a world perspective? What does God define it as, apart from marriage.
7. To you, what is faith?
8. What dos it mean to love God?
Answer to question 1: Once you are saved, God is always with you. It’s whether you notice Him that determines when you feel His presence. There is no wall between you and God. The only wall that is there is the imaginary one that some people think is there because they think that their sin separates them from God! It clearly says in Romans 8:1-2 8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Sin was taken care when Jesus died on the cross! There is no wall for those that are in Christ! And for non-believers, God is constantly trying to get their attention but they are blinded by the sin. The second the start believing though is where a small door opens for Jesus to do His work, but it is still the persons decision to keep believing or not!
Answer to question 2: Jesus died on the cross so we can have direct relationship with God! Before Jesus died there actually was a wall between men and God because of sin. If you wanted to talk to God you would have to go to a priest, but Jesus broken down that wall and gave us freedom! The amazing thing here is that Jesus’s love for us is so strong that, when we were suppose to be the ones hanging on that cross, He took our place! It says in the Bible, “for the payment of sin is death”. Jesus took that payment for us, so that men wouldn’t have to! A relationship with God is so precious to Him. It is more important than anything else in this world to Him! God is not after your hateful, begrudging submission to His commandments. He is after your heart! God knows that the sinful desires that we have are sometimes hard to resist! That is why God wants us as Christians to preach the message of His love because once people actually get a new revelation of His love and actually experience it, all those earthly desires will start to be replaced with the desire to thrive after God and more of His love! The relationship that we build with Him after that LOVE experience will start to be as precious to us, as it is to Him! A relationship with God is everything! It determines are salvation! Sin doesn’t determine our salvation! It clearly says in John 3:16-18 that who ever Believes in Jesus Christ will not perish but have ever lasting life! Believing is a verb though! When you truly believe in Jesus, you ask Him into your heart and then you receive His free gift of forgiveness! The gift of forgiveness, freedom, and salvation is free! Have you ever heard of anyone asking for a gift? No! A gift is something that is freely given by someone who wants to give it away! If you ask someone for a gift, that’s not a gift. A relationship is all about the heart and God is the only one who truly knows someones heart! Once you ask Jesus into your heart He knows if you mean it or not! Another Great thing about a relationship with Christ is that He wants the best for you! He has a great plan for everyone! This plan that He has for you is unique and specially designed just for you! His plan in your life is incredible and I guarantee you will love it! You Have so much potential when you have a relationship with Christ and when you follow whatever He says! You can change people’s lives. You can change a generation. You can change a state! A country! A world! When you take a step out and say to God, “Here I am, use me” You WILL do great things! When you have a relationship with God it doesn’t just benefit Him, the benefits and blessings come flowing your way too! God loves you so much He wants to fill you with blessing and joy! He wants to give you the world!
Answer to question 3: Simple, because they haven’t experienced Gods true love! Being a teenager, we a lot of the time have the tendency to try to figure things out by ourselves, break rules, and do what ever we want! When you go out and preach the message of rules and regulations to……well people in general……..they tend to want to rebel! When you tell someone they can’t do something, then most of the time their natural reaction is,”I’m going to do it.” You can’t preach a message telling them that if you drink you’ll go to hell, if you steal from someone then you’ll go to hell, if you do this sin you will go to hell. When you tell people this they don’t want to hear it! They think in their head,”That is not a God of love, why would I want anything to do with that?” We can’t preach that message because none of it is true anyways! Sin doesn’t send us to hell! It’s not believing in Jesus that does that! Most people know right from wrong anyways so why teach it? The difference between right and wrong is pretty obvious! Teenagers need to know the message of love because I know that is how I came back to Christ! When I lived in Massachusetts my church never taught me that message so I never really cared to even go to church, accept to hang with friends. When I moved to Florida I was taught and it made me personally want to chase after God!
Answer to question 4: Me personally? No not really. My relationship with God is pretty strong and I know the great plan He has for me! And I know that through Him, I am going to accomplish great things!
Answer to question 5: This means so much to me, but it is also extremely hard! It is hard for everyone! God wants us to love one another through everything we go through no matter what! It doesn’t matter what people have done whether they have stolen things or have killed someone. Whatever the case may be God wants us to love them still, because He Himself still does! Think about it, if you murder someone you are murdering someone that God created and still loves, and even though that person is dead now because of you, God still loves you! Look at Paul in the Bible! He had many people killed, especially Christians. Christians are Gods Children, but eventually Paul realized who God was and he went on to write most of the New Testament of the Bible! That is how strong God’s love is! But how can we as Christians have that same love? You see God looks at all sin the same. No sin has more value than the other. No sin has a bigger price then the other because sin is already paid for! Again Jesus already paid for it! But obviously the world looks at it a different way for reasons that are obvious! God’s love is so big that He is able to look past it all, if we just go to Him in repentance! Repentance is realizing you are wrong and then turning away from the way you used to be! To love people the way God wants us to, we need to first ask Him to help us, but also we need to look at sin the way God does! God doesn’t say don’t sin or you will go to hell. God says don’t sin because it will cause you to turn away from me and then you may go to hell! God says don’t sin because it affects you in a negative way and it also affects the people around you! When someone sins and it affects you in a negative way, how are you suppose to love them? You need to let go of your unforgiveness because unforgiveness affects you in a negative way. Its like drinking poison trying to kill the person you have unforgiveness against. And again you need to ask God to help you love them! There is such a way, as to loving someone from a distance! If that person keeps hurting you, then you need to forgive them, whether they say sorry or not and you need to continue to love them! That doesn’t mean you have to keep associating with them! When it is time to let go of some people in your life, it is time to let go. Doesn’t mean you have to stop loving them. We can’t condemn and judge people for their sins! We need to love them because their sins are no greater than ours! Other people look at us as Christian as Mini Jesus’s. That is who we are supposed to be! Jesus didn’t go around condemning and judging people for their sins. He loved them and told them that He will help them through everything! He knew that if He went and rejected people because they sinned, their reaction would be negative towards Him and they would never come to know God! We as Christians need to be like Jesus and keep on loving! To be honest, most Christians don’t do this and they reject non-believers because of their sins! That is not walking in love. That is persecution, and this is why most non-believers mock, trash, and hate the Church! The Church isn’t a building, it’s the people in it!
Answer to question 6: I am not really sure exactly what you mean by this question but I will try to answer it best I can. The only time someone should have a boyfriend or a girlfriend is when they think that God is leading them towards that person as a potential spouse. Through that relationship both people should be led by God! God will reveal if the relationship is His will or not! Sometimes we can get blinded by our own earthly desires and go after the wrong person thinking that God lead us towards them. Just because you get in a fight doesn’t mean the relationship isn’t meant to be. Life isn’t perfect! Bad things happen and you have to learn from them and keep moving. Just know that God has a special someone planned for everyone and His timing is always right. He will bring them to you when He knows you are ready. He will show you the person you are to marry. The world how ever looks at marriage totally different. Love to them is a selfish love! It all about me! It’s all about sex, money, what will the person I marry do to help me? Though not all people look at it this way, the majority do! God looks at marriage not only as a way to populate the earth but He looks at marriage as something that should be purely treasured. The person you are supposed to spend that rest of your time here on earth with, and enjoy it! Marriage is an incredible bond God gave to benefit us! This person we marry is suppose to be so special to us that they are the only person we would give ourselves away to (meaning have sex with them). Sex isn’t suppose to be used as a fun game, it is a part of you as a gift to the person you are suppose to be with forever in this life! That is what God intended sex to be for, but the world has twisted it!
Answer to question 7: Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen! Typical answer haha. I will go into more of a personal view! To have faith is very important because it keeps you going. It motivates you and gives you a reason to not give up on things! When you pray for someone or pray for something, even if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you will see great things happen! But if you you have doubt in you heart and that doubt overcomes your faith sometimes it holds back great things from happening! I think that when we start to lose faith and gain doubt, we need to stop looking at our faith all together and look at God! We need to remind ourselves that He is the God who created the universe! He can do anything. When we are praying for someone it is not the power that we have that heals or that overcomes, it is Jesus’s power through us! It actually has nothing to do with us. It is all Jesus that is the One Who is providing everything! He is BIG! A great faith booster is to stay positive in every situation! Be thankful for even the little things! This is why I have a tattoo that says, “When life is in discord, Praise ye the lord”. It is a constant reminder to me when I am going through trials and tribulations! I can still praise God through all situations because I know what it says in Romans 8:28. It says, ” And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Answer to question 8: Well if you don’t love God then you aren’t serving Him! And you aren’t serving Him then you probably aren’t a Christian. So therefore it is very important!
He took our place when it should of been us!: Look to the cross!
I think that we need to constantly go back to the cross as a reminder that HE took OUR place! It says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death. What are wages? Wages is a payment that someone owes or a penalty that someone needs to be served! Romans 3:24 says, “Yet God, with underserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Jesus Christ when He freed us from the penalty of sin.”
How did Jesus free us from our penalties? He died on the cross! He took our place and thought of us, when it should of been us hanging up on the cross by nails! It should of been us who were whipped and beaten down! It should of been us wearing that crown of thorns, but He took that place because He loves us that much! He died and went to hell (then came back after three days to go to heaven with His father) so that we could live freely and not have to worry about facing that penalty! We just have to receive that free gift. We need to remind ourselves when ever we start to sin, that Jesus paid for our sins but he also took our place! We need to stop being selfish and realize it should of been us! This is part of figuring out that our Jesus loves at that much. If we remind ourselves this while we are struggeling with sin, it will start to help us break away from that sin that we don’t need to be doing because it effects us and those around us! Remember the thorn crown! Remember the stripes on His back! Remember the spear that went into His side! Remember that nails! Rememeber………………the cross!
When you understand His love and grace, that is when the flesh starts to die!
Sin Defined: Its on The Cross!
Sin is paid for! Jesus paid for it all when He died on the cross! God does not punish people for their sin! He does not make bad things happen to people because of something they did wrong! We live in a new covenant! This covenant says that when we ask Jesus into our hearts and believe He is our Lord and savior, all our sin vanishes! There is no wall between Jesus and people! Humans only create that wall by ignoring Him! There is no condemnation for those that are in Christ! All sin is the same to God because it is all paid for when you are saved! I truly believe that you can be bisexual and a Christian at the same time! I truly believe you can murder someone and still be a Christian at the same time! This may sound crazy and it even does to me but GOD Doesn’t value sin, it was paid for on the cross! This how strong and powerful His grace is! This is how strong and powerful His love is! We may not deserve the grace at all, none of us do, but He loves us so much He gave it to us as a free gift! That is why when you realize how big this love can be, you won’t want to sin anymore. You won’t want these earthly desires anymore, you will just want more of Him! People that are bisexual will have a renewing of the mind and heart and then out of no where they won’t feel that way about the same sex anymore. It will be replaced by a different feeling towards God! After one experience of His true divine love it changes a lot about you! Now Satan may come and try to bring those desires back! Its your choice and you have to stay strong and tell the devil to flea in Jesus name! Ask God to help you with what your struggling with! He will break those chains off you for good! Other Christians need to stop judging these people and start loving them like Jesus does! It is because they are judged by people who are suppose to be Christ-like, why they keep turning to these earthly desires! They look at Christians as little Jesus’s and when they are judged by these types of Christians then they feel that that is how God looks at them and then they want nothing to do with Him! This is wrong and it needs to stop and Christians need to love and not judge! If we love them as they are then that is how they will see God! That is how God is anyways! A lot of times we blame God for bad things that happen to us because of something we did wrong or we ask,”God why did you let this happen to me?” LIFE HAPPENS PEOPLE! We live in a broken world where things get messed up and things go wrong that’s just how it is! The Bible says that the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy! Satan is another huge factor to why life has to suck sometimes but you have authority over him in Jesus’s name! Like I said before and like I’ve said a thousand times, God does not punish sin…….AT ALL! But sin does have consequences. There is a huge gigantic difference between punishment and consequence! Punishment is when someone (like your parents, principal, teacher, and NOT GOD) disciplines another person for something they did wrong! Consequence is a natural reaction that happens because of something you did. Your sin has consequence not punishment! If you steal from a store, your consequence is you may get caught and have to spend time in jail and now you have a criminal record! If you punch someone in the face because you are mad at them most likely there natural reaction will be to punch you back! If you sleep around with someone you’re not suppose to, they may have some disease and because you slept with them now you have that disease! All these sins have different consequences! Some of these consequences are bigger then others! When it comes to your salvation God doesn’t put value on sin, it is all the same to Him. Doesn’t mean He doesn’t care when you sin! He knows that there are consequences that happen when you do and He knows they can hurt you! That is why He doesn’t want us to sin! It allows doors to open for the devil to attack us even more! But it doesn’t come in between you and your relationship with your Heavenly Father unless you allow it to! We as humans sin, then we feel guilty or get mad at God because we think He’s punishing us and we put up this wall, when God is standing up in heaven calling us and saying,”My child I can make it all better” Instead we sometimes choose to ignore Him! We can’t do that anymore! We need to realize that our guilt was nailed to the cross, our punishment was nailed to the cross! We need to jump into His arms and know that He will make it all better! The Bible says that God works out ALL things for the goodness of those who love Him! Sin was nailed to the cross for you 2,000 years ago!
